Listen first
Learn from students, families, educators and organisations.
Every learner belongs
We’re a student team working to raise awareness about equitable access to educational resources for students with learning disabilities. Because support should open doors—not create barriers.
Learn from students, families, educators and organisations.
Explore where resources and support can be hard to access.
Help more people recognise what inclusive learning can look like.
The issue we care about
Students learn in different ways and may need different kinds of support to participate fully. Equitable access means understanding those differences and making useful resources, teaching approaches and accommodations available.
Our project is about listening to real experiences and encouraging thoughtful conversations—so learning environments can become more responsive, welcoming and inclusive.
Every student is different. Helpful support should be based on the individual learner, rather than assumptions about a diagnosis.
Our project, so far
From choosing our focus to speaking with people and connecting with an organisation, here’s a record of the work our team has done so far.
Team members considered individual topics and asked others which issues they were interested in.
We formed our groups and decided on the topics we wanted to investigate.
Marziyah spoke with a community contact to better understand how to approach the topic.
Marziyah drafted questions for parents and educators to guide our research conversations.
Suhaani contacted a potential participant; Aahren compiled a list of NGOs; Marziyah contacted potential interviewees; and Neev emailed a contact for NGO recommendations and asked the SRC about interview permission.
Marziyah interviewed an external stakeholder as part of our early information-gathering.
Suhaani and Marziyah met someone from Artistic Hands, learned about the organisation and discussed its possible participation at BIS.
Aahren interviewed a stakeholder over WhatsApp to gather another perspective on the topic.
After a school stay-back prevented one planned interview, Aryav followed up to obtain the required information. Marziyah also coordinated with contacts and confirmed Artistic Hands for NGO Mela.
Neev and Aryav created a website to begin sharing our project and its focus.
Aahren interviewed another stakeholder over WhatsApp.
Aahren continued the research through a WhatsApp interview with a stakeholder.
Marziyah confirmed the organisation’s participation at NGO Mela.
Suhaani received an audio response from a contact and spoke with a family member about challenges families can experience while raising a child with a learning disability.
Neev interviewed a parent over Zoom, and Marziyah interviewed another participant to broaden the perspectives informing our project.
Aahren interviewed a stakeholder over WhatsApp as part of our continuing research.

We’re learning by asking questions, listening carefully and sharing what we discover responsibly.
Awareness starts with us
You don’t need to be an expert to help. Listening respectfully, questioning barriers and sharing accurate information are meaningful places to start.
This is a student-led Global Perspectives awareness project. We are gathering perspectives to better understand the issue; we do not claim to represent every learner’s experience or provide professional advice. Names and identifying details from interviews are not published here. Any future quotes, photos or personal stories should be shared only with informed permission.
